Why we bought Kirk
Every year, millions of damaged pallets end up in landfills. The reason is simple. Taking them apart by hand is slow, dangerous, and rarely worth the labor. Crowbars slip. Nails fly. Good lumber gets wasted.
We watched this happen for too long. So we invested in an Alliance Automation Robotic Pallet Dismantler and named him Kirk Gibson, after the Dodgers legend who took a swing on a bad leg and won the 1988 World Series.
Kirk swings on our behalf every day. He pulls apart damaged pallets, salvages the reusable lumber, and never gets hurt doing it.
How Kirk works
Load
Damaged pallets are fed onto the intake line.
Strip
Kirk isolates each board and removes fasteners without splitting the wood.
Sort
Reusable lumber is separated from waste and stacked by grade.
Return
The recovered boards go straight back into our recycled and repaired pallet lines.
